A Great Way To Save Space

Wardrobe Storage

Wardrobe storage is a challenge lots of us face. Maybe you have too many clothes and not enough wardrobe space. Let us look at some things that we can do.

Firstly you need to ask yourself whether you need all the clothes that you have. I know some people who have bought a new skirt and never worn it as they decided that it did not suit them. They will never put it on now.

Have a clear out of all your items like that and send them off to the local charity shop. There are lots of people who will wear them.

What you have left will need to be organised in some way so that you can find the item that you want. One way of organizing your storage is not going to work for all people as we are all different. So what we are going to discuss here should not be carried out word for word if it does not suit you. By all means use it as a basis and then tailor it to be more suitable for what you want.

The first suggestion is that you categorise the items in your wardrobe. This can be done simply as tops, bottoms and sweaters or can be work, pleasure and gym. This will depend on whether most of your wardrobe can be grouped in one category or whether it is more widespread. This method makes it easier for you to select a top, a bottom and a sweater ready to wear.

If you do have a more varied wardrobe, it will be more complicated and it is not going to be right to mix your sports clothes with your business suit. That is where separating them by lifestyle rather than by the article of clothing is more useful.

You can then have sub sections where you can group together trousers, dresses, skirts, blouses to make life easier for you. Another way you could arrange your wardrobe would be to put all items of the same colours together, blacks, reds etc.

Whichever you choose I still think that it is a good idea to separate your winter clothes from your summer clothes. Then twice a year you can swap the clothes in the wardrobe in the spare room with the one in the master bedroom. After all, you do not want to be going out in the very hot weather with a thick sweater on.

If you feel that you want to keep all your clothes then maybe rearrange your bedroom furniture. You can fit corner wardrobes in to use some wasted space and then get a mirror wardrobe to combine those two functions.

OK, hopefully now you have a better idea on organising your wardrobe storage.
